Each October we kick-off our annual Wounded Warrior Canada fundraising initiative with the launch of Remembrance Red Ale. 50 cents of every can and pint sold is donated to Wounded Warriors Canada.
This product is sold through the LCBO and The Ward Room Bottle Shop as well as many bars & restaurants across Ontario.To date we have raised approximately $40,000 for Wounded Warriors Canada.
WWC is nationally recognized as a leading, independent, veteran’s charity focusing on mental health. Their mandate is to honour and support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families and is focused on a spectrum of care that ranges from working to remove homeless veterans from the streets to becoming the national leader in funding animal assisted therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The organization is also making a legacy investment in mental health research and the scope of their programming, will be focused on family-based care for Operational Stress Injuries, and the recent launch of COPE (Couples Overcoming PTSD Everyday). Classic Irish Red Ale. Pours a deep brownish red with a tan coloured head. Aromas of caramel, brown bread crust, biscuity malt, and dried fruit blend in with a hint of earthiness. On the palate, caramel sweetness and biscuit notes lead into a fruity middle. The beer finishes with a hint of earthy hop bitterness and a lingering hint of caramel. This is an easy-drinking, but full-bodied, beer with an interesting malt character, perfect for the beginning of fall.
