This July 2020, we've paired up with Ren from Beer Diversity to create a refreshing, summery IPA paired best with important conversations about diversity, inclusion, equality and love of beer.
Created and launched by Ren Navarro in 2018, Beer. Diversity. strives to educate, enlighten, and make beer approachable to a more diverse audience. Ren is no stranger to public speaking and has appeared frequently at workshops and conferences informing and entertaining people with her love of beer and passion for creating a safe and equal space for all.
Ren has more than 7 years of experience in the brewing industry, spending many of those years as a sales representative at renowned and award-winning breweries. Additionally, using her perspective as a queer black woman, she has talked extensively about diversity in craft beer with appearances in various forms of media, such as podcasts, television, radio and newspapers.
Navarro is working diligently on the front-lines to initiate change both in and out of the industry, addressing the lack of diversity in the Canadian beer industry and how we can all work together to improve it. Ren offers many services to promote diversity and inclusion in this industry including in-person consulting, virtual consulting sessions as well as diversity and inclusion talks at breweries, wineries and distilleries as well as public spaces and colleges. Â
We've paired up with Ren to create an IPA hopped with sabro, loral, citra and huell melon. It pours a hazy orange with an off-white head. With impressions of lemon, rose petal, fresh cut grass, orange, berry punch, coconut, fresh herbs and white pepper. This beer is a perfect refresher for a hot summer day.
